Rafaela Velado, a testament to dedication and passion, embarked on her journey at D'Veal immediately after earning her Master's in Social Work from the esteemed University of Southern California in 2021. Assigned to Altadena Elementary School as a school-based therapist, she diligently provided individual, family, and group therapy for children and parents. Her expertise in fostering relationships with clients, families, and the systems that support them to meet their needs is unparalleled. Within a mere two years at D'Veal, Rafaela's unwavering commitment led to her promotion as the Intake Coordinator and subsequently, the Intake Director. Recognizing her relentless drive to enhance the lives of children and families, she was recently elevated to the role of Administrator Program Director. In her current capacity, she collaborates with the Clinical Director, executive team, manager, and supervisors, providing guidance and support to D'Veal's team.
