Kim Blackmon

IBHIS Director
Kim Blackmon began her career with D’Veal Family and Youth Services in April 2000. Before coming to D’Veal Family and Youth Services, Kim worked with various electronic health records and revenue management systems. Having to meet stressful deadlines and dealing with issues involving Revenue has always been the norm for her. With over ten years of experience, Kim settled in with her expertise and calm when she joined the agency. Growing up in Long Beach, Kim was unsure of what career to pursue. However, she knew helping individuals and families would have to be at the forefront. Understanding the Mental Health Needs of Family, Friends, and the people within the neighboring Communities has helped shape who she is today. In July 2013, Kim received a Commendation from the County of Los Angeles and Kathryn Barger in honor of her dedication and service in helping to provide behavioral health care services. Today, with a wealth of over 30 years of experience, Kim finds fulfillment in the knowledge that she and her team are instrumental in helping families and individuals find balance and purpose in their lives. She believes that articulating and sharing our vision with our families, and more importantly, staying true to that vision, is a responsibility she takes seriously and upholds with dedication.
